Giới thiệu về 2022 Graeme Clark Award for STEMM Innovation in Schools
The Graeme Clark Foundation has been supporting STEMM in Victorian schools by offering the Graeme Clark Award for STEMM Innovation on Schools. The 2022 award prize ws $3,000. It was presented by Dr Tien Kieu, a member of the State Parliament of Victoria and Mr Grant Holley, Chair of the Graeme Clark Foundation.
The award was presented to Preston High School for its Da Vinci program. This program encourages students to integrate design thinking and collaborative problem-solving in fields such as STEMM. These skills are taught using a design process of Investigate, Define, Ideate, Prototype, Test, and Evaluate. The program culminated in an Expo where all Year 7 students presented their problems and pitched their solutions. Our judges were impressed to see students tackle issues of waste caused by biomedical technologies such as RAT tests and disposable masks.
